We bought a small Black and Decker shop vac.  It is a touch bigger than I like. But I suspect it will come in handy.

We have a larger bamboo mat to put down in the R-dome/awning area.
Plus a small dust pan and brush. Beyond that we will see.

I am thinking a small swiffer with the damp pads might be handy.

We bought a Black & Decker handheld vacuum.  I've never been happy with any of the battery powered units (too 'weak') but this one has a lithium battery and lots of suction. Its great for getting into corners, etc.

I use a camper mat,the one made to go under awnings. I have one about the length of the pod, plus I put a cute little floor mat right outside the door,it  to wipe feet again.
If it’s really sandy or muddy I have plastic tub to put shoes in which I can cover to prevent rain soaking them if needed.
I also go to dog shows with my rpod and the dogs go in and out when weather is nice. I set up a little yard the size of the awning mat made from portable dog “ex-pens”.
The dogs track in a lot of sand and much so I do a double layer of yard mats and then I also lay down a bunch of thin, brightly cover Turkish towels on the floor of the camper. These suck up mud and dirt, especially on rainy days. I can shake them out frequently and they wash up like new in the laundry.
I take small hand broom/dust pan and a dust buster.
I do like the idea of a small shop vac. I have one I think I’ll stick in the pod-garage for our next trip Labor Day weekend.

I think part of the answer is some sort of mat or pad outside in front of the steps.
About R-dome size should do it.

That will remove a lot of what would get tracked in normally.

We do have a 1 gallon stanley shop vac, plus brush and pan.

I suspect a swiffer would work about as well.

:) My wife is Asian - shoes are not allowed in the house, we have a shoe mat outside, I got used to it. Several times a year I do use my portable DeWalt vacuum (battery/electric)to vacuum pod, broom works good on floor but not upholstery and ledges.

Our biggest problem are the really small gravel driveways. The grit and sand stick to bare feet, shoe& sandels. We have mats at the stepsandone inside at the door. Remove shoesis s paining the butt. Just seeing if anybody had the miracle solution.

My DW is the Queen of Clean. I don't know how she does it (other than some serious "take your shoes off!!" prodding) but our Pod seems to stay spotless.

My Pod did, it's me. I have a broom and dust pan, no power, no recharging, works fine may last a long time.
