The fridge in our 2016 179 will no longer work on AC. If I select it, a few seconds later the panel starts beeping. Battery and propane don't have a problem. What should I look at, other than the breaker or GFCI, which I've already checked? I also visually inspected the control panel circuit board and didn't see anything scorched. Maybe a dead heating element?

We have a rally in a couple of weeks and, while we could run off propane or the battery/converter, I'd like to try to get AC working again.

TIA.

Alan, If you have checked CBs and fuses, I'm sure you have verified 120 at fridge plug. If that 120 is good, primary suspect is the heating element.

+1 to what Mike suggests. Check that you're getting both 12V and 120V to the fridge. If that's there, then the next suspect would be the heating element. IDK if both 12V and 120V use the same element or not, but it's possible. if the element checks out, then the next thing would be the control board.

Looks like this is a link to the service manual or one to a very similar fridge. Haven't looked at it in detail but page 39 looks to be the troubleshooting flow chart for AC operation. The most likely culprit is indeed the AC heating element, which is not the same as the DC one. Gives you a resistance value to check, do you have a multimeter. Goes without saying but for sure TURN OFF THE AC power before doing this test.

I won't be able to check it until I can pull the Pod out of our storage unit. Since propane and battery are apparently working, I'll probably check it at our next rally, coming up in a couple of weeks.

I'm having the same issue with my fridge.  The electric setting light comes on and beeps.  The slide out is supposedly on the same fuse and it works.  I'm not sure what a heating element looks like or I would check that.  I have always had no trouble plugging it in at the house until now...thoughts? I need to use the fridge for four days... I do have a cooler, but would like to be able to use the ac fridge.

Until you get it fixed use propane.  It works well and is not expensive.

Thank you.  I did finally figure it out!  I reset the electrical outlet by the bed and surprise, surprise it worked!
