The only one I consider to be essential (since a number of failures have been reported) are the drain valve supports. It's an easy fix. Tires are fine, no need to replace until they wear out or are beyond expiration date. Everything else is preference/convenience. We did our shelf over the bed right away because there isnt much space for storing clothes.

Most mods I have done are for convenience not necessity. I did bolster the black tank drain, but it hadn't been a problem. I did have an issue with the cross bracket supports for the holding tanks and the sheet metal screws coming loose, I recall fixing that first. I bolted my brackets to the frame. The rest, shelves, wiring, volt gauges, usb ports, generator rack, battery switch, door window, fan cover, slide cover, back-up lights, led bulbs, d rated tires, outside shower, all that was for my convenience.
