Thanks for the suggested fixes! However, they sound like they would require:

1 - Work/effort
and
2 - money.

I avoid the former and have none of the latter.

The snap-on toroids are only a few bucks, and they snap on in seconds. They really work.

Thanks.  Most hams that have been around for a while are very familiar with toroids.  I have used them on my own things and neighbor devices to keep harmony in the neighborhood.  If I planned to do much cool weather camping I would use them on the furnace blower.

Mike, many moons ago my first road bike was a 305 Honda Dream! Now I'm content with my classic 81 BMW R100RS airhead. If your going to sell the Dream take it to and enter it into a large vintage bike show. You might win a trophy and sell the bike all in the same day!

As for the heater it does a great job but I sure wish they could put in a quieter blower motor and a duck that directs the heat into the Pod "hall way" and not under the bed but it does make things nice a cozy when under the covers.

No waterfowl in our camper.  It wouldn't get along with the dogs.

Moseying on back to the OP, Embarrassed, the furnace works very well when it's cold out.  We last camped with temps in the low 20's overnight and it kept us nice and toasty.  Only problem was the noise all night.  The next night we did without, put on an extra blanket and all was as snug as it could be.  In the morning I turned the furnace on and in no time it was nice and warm.  Now I have a new Kelty double sleeping bag, supposedly good to 20℉, so we plan to sleep with the furnace off and turn it on in the morning when we leave for our Thanksgiving trip.

It does help that we'll be going to the central CA coast and L.A. so we won't be in the cold.  And we always open the vent in the head a smidgen, a polite term for a carpentry term that can't be used here, so we have some fresh air.  But, we don't keep motor cycles or ducks in our Pod.  Too crowded already.
