So, I don't technically have an R-Pod. My wife and I purchased one of the knock-offs. A Starcraft Satellite to be exact. It is the 17RB, which is a copy of the R-Pod 180. I have been browsing this forum for tips and tricks as most things are backwards compatible due to such similarities in the models.

The wife and I absolutely love the model. We downsized/upgraded from a 2007 Puma 19FS that just had a terrible layout for us, but it was our first foray in to the RV world and it got us hooked.

Sure you can join! Happy to have you.

Helpful hint - always remember that you are in a group on people that are rabidly loyal to their Rpods. They are some of the best on the web, however.

Neato, we won't hold it against you for buying a knockoff.  Wink  Actually, it's a pretty nice looking trailer.
Welcome to the forum and enjoy.

Actually looks nice Neato. Hope you have fun with it, and I think the people here will be very supportive of you. It does look like Starcraft may have bought most of their parts from Forrest River!

Thanks for the warm welcome! I don't doubt the loyalty in here one bit. The reason we even have copies of the R-Pod is due to the super popularity of them. To be fair, it came down to the Starcraft or a Pod and the dealer with the Starcraft tried just enough harder to get us to sway that way.

After looking at the Starcraft and the Pod very closely, there is very little difference on the outside. I can only assume the same goes for inside the walls also.

Greetings.

The only obvious outside difference between the Starcraft and the rPod I see is the scallop out of the bottom of the front wall. That reduces interior storage space but allows for the battery(ies) to tuck  further back into that area and increase tongue mounting space for something else. Interesting.
