This will be the 3rd year for this event. It's held in Eisenhower State Park on the south shore of Lake Texoma, in Denison, TX. More details to follow (as soon as I can get to a laptop and copy/paste the event information from the Facebook R-Pod Owners Group).

The first year, we had 8 Pods with only about two months planning. Last year, with a longer planning period, we had 34.

I just bought an r-pod and just joined this forum.

What types of activities or gatherings happen at these r-pod events?

Lake Texoma is about 6 hours east of me.

We went last year.  No activities per say and nothing really organized except potluck dinner.
There was supposed to be FR swag as it was semi-sponsored, but nothing showed up from that.
It was a long way to go for us (over 5 hours) for not much except high priced camping without sewer and camping with many other pods.
Probably good for the local people and the cliques that form.
Happy trails,

The swag box showed up at our house the day we left, so it didn't make it to the event. I'm not sure who dropped the ball there, whether it was Travis or FR. We will likely take it to the Tyler event in September, for which we are also organizers.

We had a lady scheduled to speak about the history of the area (a lot of notable figures passed through) and her talks are always entertaining, but she was under the weather unfortunately. There were ample opportunities to go fishing or otherwise enjoy the lake if you were so inclined.

That's cool.  I had heard you lived only about 20minutes away...but I guess not.

Closer to an hour. I didn't find out that the delivery was that day until we got home on Sunday and I checked the tracking number. We received no notification that it had even shipped, so we thought we weren't getting anything. My wife bought a few things out of our own pocket so that we'd have *something*.
