In the February 2019 issue of Trailer Life there is an article on "52 New RVs for 2019", on page 48 is the R-Pod 191.

First sentences, "Forest River's R-Pod has developed somewhat of a CULT following and for good reason. The trailers come with most of the comforts afforded to larger RVs but in a compact package."

I am glad to be in this cult and this forum is unique and a great source for all of us!

"Cult" implies that we're right and everybody else is wrong. That couldn't be further from the truth. I've found this bunch to be very open-minded. I'd consider us more of a clan that gets along really well with other clans.

Always wanted to be part of a cult. What a great sense of belonging. Who's bringing the kool-aid?

Agree that "cult" has a lot of negatives associated with the word.  Alan, "clan" is much closer to what we have here or maybe "family" where you may certainly have differences but overall you all try to work together and support one another even when it's not easy or convenient.

Thanks for posting this! And I know it's all in fun, but I'm with TheBum ... we're a clan. Hearty agreement about the draw of RPods. Great features, compact package and price.

I vote for "tribe" as the most accurate description.  Cult, no for the reasons stated above by others, clan, well that implies a little too much inbreeding.  Tribe on the other hand allows for the wide divergence of life styles, beliefs or lack thereof, ages, economic circumstances, etc. etc. that we have on this board.  We're all a little nuts, to be sure, but not to the level of a cult.

Words mean something. "Cult Following" is not indicative of a Cult. I like family personally to describe us and not tribe or clan. Archaic.

Personally, I think Tribe is the most accurate word to use as a description with Club as the most viable alternative. Cult is definitely not a word I would favor as a description.
Miriam Webster's definitions

Club:
"3 a : an association of persons for some common object usually jointly supported and meeting periodically also : a group identified by some common characteristic."

Cult, "2a : great devotion to a person, idea, object, movement, or work (such as a film or book)
// criticizing how the media promotes the cult of celebrity especially : such devotion regarded as a literary or intellectual fad
b : the object of such devotion
c : a usually small group of people characterized by such devotion
// the singer's cult of fans
// The film has a cult following.

Tribe:
"2 : a group of persons having a common character, occupation, or interest"

Greetings:
Maybe we should all get black leather jackets with the R-Pod logo on the back!
