Maybe consider changing out the flimsy foam used on the seating, backrest area.  We replaced ours with an extra sturdy foam, made a HUGE difference not only when using as a table/dinette area, but also for sleeping.

^^^^

agree the foam from the factory wasn't that great to begin with.. 9 years later, it's probably shot. We replaced with much better foam, along with reupholstering, just putting a throw or quilt over the cushions in bed mode to sort of hide the minor spaces between cushions, no issues sleeping on the dinette.
