Topic: How many podders drink from the fresh water tank? Posted: 29 Nov 2019 at 3:48pm |
The key to safe tank water is to properly sanitize the tank with adequate frequency, be careful not to contaminate it by sloppy filling protocol, and to avoid filling it with water from potentially contaminated sources. The first two elements are pretty much under the trailer owner's control; however, as we see a decline in enforcement of water safety standards in many parts of the country, the third has the potential to become a problem. Caveat bebitor.

I am a retired civil engineer, taught by people who designed and built the systems that clean water for people to drink. To these engineering pioneers, the emerging markets in bottled water was an affront, after spending billions to ensure clean water was available to everyone.
Fifty years later, so many of their systems are neglected and breaking down. We sanitize the R-Pod tanks carefully and never give drinking from the tank a second thought.

On Sept 9, this video was published on youtube:
I wonder if that man has been reading this forum?

My parents had a camping store in the 50's and 60's and sold that "stuff" back then but the down side is that it came in a can but the upside was that you could always just open the can to add the water
