Bottled water only for cooking, rinsing fresh fruits and vegetables, drinking, and tooth brushing. Ingrained habit learned from many years of international travel, I just never put tap water in my mouth except at home.

I do not like the taste of chlorinated city water so we drink bottled spring water. Near our house is a natural spring we fill jugs from it and use for drinking water at home and when we will go camping or traveling. We only use the water from holding tank in camper for showers, washing dishes, toilet, washing hands and brushing teeth. When we lived in south Florida city water was not available we had well water that had sulfur in it we could not use that in the camper because the sulfur smell would set off the alarm in camper.

We drink the water from the tank.  Well, I'm kind of l like W.C. Fields in that I don't drink a lot of water, but we use it for coffee, cooking, brushing teeth, etc., and drinking when it comes to it.  We sanitize at least once a year.  I've never been convinced of any reason not to use the potable tank for potable water.

There are people who don't use the toilet in the pod, for reasons I can barely comprehend.  I figure things like potable water and potties aren't cheap (and I could probably get a much less expensive camper with out those things if I'm not going to use them).  Plus, I haven't died yet, or even gotten sick.

Check out the archives on this topic.  You'll see quite a bit of disagreement on the issue.  It's one of those polarizing issues that has no resolution.

Last time camping, we filled our FW tank on arrival from the campground spigot.  We also filled several containers for drinking [we choose not to drink tank water], only to learn two days later from the camp host, that they just got word that the water had failed the potability test.  But what the heck, we coudn't see anything in the water and what you can't see can't hurt you.

We use our fresh water tank for potable water. I sanitize it in the spring. Then I fill it with filtered water (Camco inline filter). Then for good measure, some of the Camco Drinking Water Freshener (essentially, bleach) to keep it safe and prevent algae and bacteria growth. We have not had any issues with using the water. I have also carried an 8 gallon Hydroller for use when we were traveling in the winter and had the system winterized. That is not much different than using the 'Pod's tank.

As it is, even bottle water can be bad if it is not stored properly.

We do and use bottled water. I only put potable water in the FW tank, chlorinated water. I don't sanitize, the tank has only chlorinated water in it. Should doubt arise I use the bottled water.

We do. Always have, always will. We used to boondock a lot, keep the system clean it's just fine. We have not boondocked in the Lance, but we have been in a a couple E only campsites, just filled at the community spigot and had a great campout.

Ditto what Pod People said. One addition: there has never been any water added to our fresh water tank that was unfiltered either. Read that filtering was a good way to go in 2008 when buying our first RV and have never regretted following that advice...even when filling the tank at our home before a trip.

We use our fresh water tank for potable water.  We make lemonade, coffee or tea, brush out teeth, take our meds and don't hesitate to drink it.
We also are very careful about sanitizing the tank, the hose, the funnel, the filter and all parts of the freshwater system.  this is our second pod-been doing this for 8 years now with no bad results.
