Hi!  I'm LOVING our rpod but not crazy about the color of the exterior swirl colors-green,yellow.  If we keep the swirl decals, I'd like to paint them a different combination of colors.  Has anyone done this? What would be the best way to do this? Tape around original decals and then spray paint on top?  Remove old decals first and then spray paint?  What kind of paint should I use? Thanks for any help and I'd love to see photos of anyone's exterior color/decal mods or even cool murals!

They are decals. The best is to remove and replace with your own decals. There are many sources of decals, look at marine applications. Some have gone decal-less. Hard to paint a decal. There are sources where you can design your own graphics, I've done boats that way.

Or, you can opt to just peel them off and have a "nude" Pod.  That's what we did with the old peeling loopy decals that looked awful.  Now we have a pure white Pod, like a little cloud.

I thought I responded to this earlier, but maybe it's a violation of some kind? I did not hear from a  moderator, so I will re-post this general editorial I read a few months ago about "swoopy" designs on RVs in general (it doesn't mention R-pods at all; just kind of a guy musing on why all RVs seem to have swoops and swirls on their sides).

Since I am the only moderator, and I neither saw, nor deleted any post, I am going to go with the idea that you thought you responded earlier.. Wink

Pod on.

EDIT: a fellow over on the FB group, who had a Rings Pod, with failing decals, (9 years old now) Removed them and painted on new rings in colors they were more in tune with.. looks nice.

I didn't know you are the only one. No offense intended. I'm inclined to believe it was alpha particles or that I didn't actually click the "Post" button. I'll go with the former since that can leave both of us blameless.Wink

Here's another option. Doing it on a 5th wheel a year ago, the cost came to about $4,000. An R-pod is a lot smaller, so maybe a couple grand?
