Olddawgs: I wasn't addressing anyone in particular (the whole group really). The comment arose from my own non-gender neutral "guys." I haven't found a satisfactory alternative but, as a Maine-iac, I can;t bring myself to speak southern. Geek

Around here, the term "guys" is mostly gender neutral. At least when you are addressing a group of mixed sexes saying "Hi guys!" is perfectly acceptable.

Glad to hear you were able to open the ring with your bare hands.  See you are stronger than you think.  Congratulations.  Like Furpod, I have never heard of that being an issue before.  We have traveled with our 177 for over 27,000 miles on smooth as well as some roads bumpy enough to make your teeth fall out, even if they aren't false ones!  Never had that issue arise.

If you were a true southerner, you would say “all y’all”
That is plural and non-gender
