I’m sure it’s just a flipped switch, but with just battery(2) power, the only thing that operates is the awning. I need shore power to operate everything else.   Is there some type of power cutoff switch on the vehicle.

Your lights, pumps, fans, etc all work on 12v. The only thing you need shore power for is a/c, microwave, and possibly TV. If none of the 12v stuff is working on battery, then it's a fuse or wiring problem.

I have the same question regarding the 12V cutoff switch. We just bought a used 2019 R-Pod 191 and I noticed the lights from the radio and USB port still on. I searched around for a main 12V cutoff switch to prevent the battery from draining and could not find one. Do R-Pods not come with a main power cutoff?

Short answer: No. I installed one myself. See my mods for the old PB-Acid installation and the newest version for the new LiFePO4 battery installation.

Thanks for the quick reply! I will be definitely be adding one as I have to store this on a dry lot for the time being and don't want battery draining dead.

If the battery is in a case, especially if the case is locked down, a cut-off switch is much more convenient. Disconnecting is cheaper, but less convenient. It is a matter of choice.

I'm sure you know this but , The radio, lights, heater, water pump, slide out, power jack, and brakes all work on battery power, as well as the awning.  I used to remove my battery when I stored it elsewhere. If I needed power for any reason, I would just plug into my tow vehicle. But now I keep home and plug into an outside 15 amp receptacle. I had dropped my 195 off for some service last October, and it sat on their lot for a month. I was very surprised to see the battery level was still fine. Maybe if you bring one of those mobile battery jumper units down every 4-5 weeks and give it a small charge it would be fine?

Yeah I decided since I just got this camper and am not too familiar with it yet, I'm just going to install one of those basic dis-connect under the battery box cover (if it fits). I'm mostly concerned about the battery going dead while in storage. As time goes on and I learn more about the rig I will venture in to something more substantial maybe mounted inside by the door (like there should be). -W
