Weston Bend State Park, northwest of Kansas City, will again be the site for an R-Pod Rally!. Will you join us? The official Rally will be Thursday May 7 - Sunday May 10 but we plan to be there May 5-11. Come when you can!

Of course - the rally is not only for those who live nearby or in the midwest, or just for those who attended last year - ya'll come! 😀 Pets and children welcome.

RESERVATION WINDOW IS OPEN! We are not able to make advance group reservations and as this is a small campground, it can fill quickly.

Weston Bend State Park sits high above the banks of the Missouri River, with hiking and bike trails with nice views. (No river views from the campground itself).

Water is available at three stations around the campground but NOT at each site. Remember to fill your tank prior to setting up camp. 😏 Dump station and nice shower/restroom facility available. There is also one vault toilet building.

The historic small town of Weston is just down the road, and it is a delightful place to visit! "The Best Small Town in Missouri." Tour wineries, a brewery, a distillery, a creamery and sheep dairy farm; shop nice galleries, boutiques, and antique stores; and dine at a variety of local restaurants. Here's the link to Weston: https://www.westonmo.com

This will be a pretty low-key Rally giving you plenty of time to relax, hike, have fun in Weston, or just get to know other Podders. We will have some pot-lucks and campfires, and details will be posted down the road.

One event we will plan again for those who wish to participate, is a HOMETOWN GIFT EXCHANGE. Bring a wrapped item (one per person or one per Pod) that represents something about your hometown, and is in the $10-15 range. Enclose a note with the item with your name, and explain how this relates to your hometown. This event will not be mandatory, and no need to sign up. Either bring something, or don't. Smile

Keep watching for updates.

Chuck and I have reserved Site #18 again as "Rally Central."
When making reservations, those over 65 can get a $2/night reduction. 😀
There are no park entrance fees.

TO MAKE YOUR RESERVATION, either
-- Call 877-422-6766 between 7am-7pm CST daily
OR
-- Go Online at:

***ONCE YOU MAKE YOUR RESERVATION, please post your dates and site # here or msg me. ✔

Oh, and, if you make a reservation and find you need to cancel, please post that here or msg me, including your site number, BEFORE CANCELING so maybe someone planning to participate can be ready to reserve your site. Thanks!!!

As of 11/21, there are 22 known R-Pod reservations and another three sites reserved but I don't know if they are Podders or not.

There is still one 30amp electric "ADA" site available.
There are still four 30/50amp premium electric sites available.
There is one 30/50amp "Family" (double) premium electric site available - two connected sites for the price of two sites.
There are 3 "Basic" sites available - no electricity/water.

As of 11/24, there are 22 KNOWN Pod reservations and another 5 sites that are reserved but I don't know if they are Podders.

There are still THREE 30/50amp sites available (one of them is reserved the Thursday night), and ONE 30/50amp "Family" site which is two connected sites for the cost of two sites.

There are also three "basic" sites available - no electric, and one of those is a "Family" site.

There's still time to make your reservation - but I can't hold any sites.

**RESERVATION UPDATE Nov 26th - at this point, there are 23 known RPods booked and very few sites remaining available:

Site 27 - 30/50amp.

Site 29 - 30/50amp - only available Friday night and after.
(FYI, Site 30 is reserved Fri/Sat only, so someone could call and book site 30 up until Fri and site 29 for the rest of the time, which would mean moving across the road on Fri.... we could include it in the Rally schedule as a special activity!).

Site 35 - 30/50amp Family site -- which is two connected sites for double the cost. This could be shared quite easily by two RPods (each pad has their own hook-ups), yet would need to be on one reservation. If someone wants to book that, chances are another Pod will come along wanting to reserve and you could work that out the details together, but I cannot guarantee that.

Sites 3 and 26 - basic sites, no electricity.

Site 1 - another Family/double site, no electricity.

QUESTION - sites 12, 30, 33, 34, and 37 are reserved but I have not heard from any RPodders about those sites.  If anyone here has reserved one of those sites, please let me know.  You can msg me or post here.  Thanks!

UPDATE JANUARY 3, 2020 --
Almost all sites are booked, and 27 RPods will nearly fill the campground!

At this point, there is only ONE site with electricity still available (#35), and it is a "family" site, which is basically a double site for double the cost.  It would work very well for two RPods.  I guess if someone wants to book it, chances are another Pod will want to join in, but I can't guarantee that.

There are a couple of site available that do not have electricity... in fact, we have one RPod booked in a non-electric site.  Weather should be OK for not needing A/C or heat.

I will start a waiting list if any are interested in being contacted should another site open up.  Let me know if you would like to be on that list.

If you would like more info about this rally, don't hesitate to contact me!

UPDATE January 11, 2020 --
All sites with electricity are now booked.
There are two "Basic" sites (no electricity) available.

If you would like to come, let me know and I will add you to a waiting list in case there are any cancellations.

I will also post if I see that any sites have opened up (there are 5 sites that are reserved but I haven't heard that they are Podders).

Come on, Spring!

This link is to a short reply form I created -- if you are planning to attend the Weston Bend Rally, please take a couple of minutes to send your reply - one per campsite.

If you are NOT planning to attend this rally, thank you for not submitting a reply.

Thanks!
