What is the difference between West and Midwest models and why? I presume in have a Midwest model since I got it in Tennessee. But, how would I know?

Hello Colt, If it does not say "Hood River Edition" then you got the one built in Goshen, Indiana. The main difference is the tires. The HRE models have more rugged looking tires. Other differences are rather minor. There may be some fit and finish differences also.

There are probably more differences due to the fact that they're built in different factories with different workers, but that will not show up on a spreadsheet anywhere.

I believe there used to be a few differences. But I might be wrong, I'm only in the pod community since 2016 ish. I think the hood river were higher up, with larger size (15 instead of 14) offroad tires and made to traverse more off road conditions. The midwest, are/were lower to the ground, but (now) have 15 inch tires as well.

I believe the HRE’s, in addition to the off road 15” tire also have a welded riser in place, along with a cross bar, to give it it’s clearance.

Yes to all. It's a 3" riser. (corrected from following post).

I sense confusion on this forum about the HRE riser. Our HRE 180 welded in riser is 3".
