Is the low profile unit worth the additional cost? Do I have to purchase anything besides the unit itself or is it a complete package? Our old trailer had the a/c installed so this is a first for me. I noticed you can add on things when you go to purchase it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Tim, You might want to open your own thread on this. More people will see it and know you need help on something.

Ab, the only other thing I'd mention is how the floors feel. My 179 started to have a bounce to the floor in the kitchen area after 200+ nights of use. The 178 layout is different, but you may want to be cognizant of the floors and make sure you don't see any warping, staining or excessive bounce. All the best!

Also look at the axle to see if it has lost it's camber it should not look like an old VW from the back. The best way to check the axle is with a 24" bubble level. The wheels should be the same as the side walls of the trailer, it's that easy. Just check the plumb of the wheels and then move up to the wall, should be the same. Here is a picture of my 178 when I bought it. It can be repair, but I would adjust the price for it. I love my 178 just letting you know what to look for.

After repair

I have those same little dents in my 2016 172. I assumed they were like tiny staples holding up the ceiling panel.I'd love to know if I'm wrong....

I wonder if a previous owner tried to staple up some curtains, or velcro, or maybe Christmas lights or something.....hard to tell...
