And I have read owner complaints about Progressive Dynamics customer service as well. We'll have to agree to disagree on this.

Very sorry to hafta disagree Stephen, but this is an empirical observation. Do a search. Check the data. I've personally been there and have interacted with WFCO.

Do a search, check it out. They are junk and WFCO is of no help. Check the failures. Get a PD replacement board.

OTOH, I have had one converter go bad. On the facebook forum, there is information about what causes this and how to fix it. It involves in part tightening the ground screws, but I don't have the details in front of me. We have used our RPod extensively and since replacing the converter, had no problems. The last replacement was because of a switch from Pb-Acid to LiFePO4 battery technology which requires a different charging profile than the stock converter can do. It is possible for these manufacturers to have a bad run. That does ot make them "junk."If they did not honor their warranty, I would agree with you. However, take the right steps and WFCO does honor the warranty.

Don't bother with the WFCO, its junk. Go to Progressive Dynamics and get the exact replacement for it. It's an easy swap. Do a search under my name Tibof and there's a whole discussion on it.

Your power center should have a sticker with a model number. If it is the 8900 series, the WF-8955-MBA is the right one if you are sticking with Pb-Acid battery technology, to include Gel or AGM. For LiFePO4, it is WF-8950L2-MBA. For all other models, check the WFCO web site. That will have all the information you could ever want to include troubleshooting flow charts.

Does anyone know the model # for a replacement converter main board for a 2018 RP 190? Do I go with the WF-8955 - 55 amp? We will be at a site for 4 weeks up in Maine this summer and would like a backup just in case.
