2017 rp180--Any suggestions for where the best splice for a 12v power supply to a back-up camera. I found some wire behind the vanity drain line. Color identity would be cool. Also, we have a air flow spoiler wing thing on the back with some running lights; is this a good source for power?
Grateful for your input.

You should be able to get power from the center clearance light on the spoiler.

License plate light? And there is reverse lights wiring on the left front they are yellow and capped off in the bundle. You have running lights numerous places. I used my solar connector as a 12V source.

The circuit supplying the running/clearance lights is one of the better places to get your camera 12v.  It is generally readily accessible near all the places you might want to mount the camera.

Yes. The running lights would be a great source if you want the camera to have power "most of the time". Backup lights would supply power when you are backing up. I think a lot people like having the camera powered "most of the time" just so they can get a gander of what's happening behind when you're tooling down the road.

I tapped into the license plate light.  I just have to run my parking or headlights to use the camera.
