Hi!
This is Bruce and Robin from Northern Virginia. We picked up our new 195 in mid July and haven't been out yet. Seems like it takes a while to outfit an empty trailer. Question for the group:
When we picked up the camper (3 hour drive from Alexandria, VA to NJ) we were told there was a recall on the square U bolts that hold the spare tire mount on the rear bumper. We got the spare and the metal bracket but no replacement square U bolts. Has anyone else encountered this recall. It's hard for me to believe that there are bolts out there that are weaker than that square bumper. I did see a reference to a spare tire recall but I am having trouble finding a Forest River site to check. Any thoughts or help from the forum. Thanks
Bruce from Northern VA

I found this description of the problem,

"The recalled spare tire carrier U-bolts have a significant flat spot in the inside bend radius from rough tooling that created a weak spot allowing the material to be stretched and bent across a flat plane."

You might want  to see if you have those flat spots in yours. Either way, you can get FR to send you the replacement Ubolts and just put them on the trailer yourself. Shouldn't be a big deal to do and way better than driving 6 hours round trip back to Jersey from NOVA....Star

I believe my 195 is a 2020 year model. I didn't get the u- bolts. All I got was the spare and the mount the bolts attach to the bumper. I'll call them tomorrow. I doubt my dealer informed Forrest River that I purchased the unit. I did it all over the phone/ text/ email and never even met my salesman.

Here's a link to FR's recall database:

Our 2020.5 R-Pod 195 was apparently not included in this recall.
