We recently bought a used 179 Rpod (2015) that had its table removed, we would like to replace this to create the double bed for our little boys. Does anyone have one to sell or have ideas for how we can modify the couch to enlarge the bed?
Thanks!

hi Lynn,
I have also removed my dinette table to make more room and have something more useful to me.
On one trip though, I had guests and wanted another bed. I bought some, thin sturdy boards to put where the table would have gone and then put the cushions on them. It worked fine.

I have a 172 with the long unusable bench in the back so I now just keep those boards between the bench and the cushion in case I want them again.

I'd go to a lumber store and tell them what you're doing. You might also just add a support under it. A storage box?

Most lumber sellers will cut plywood to size for a buck or two a cut. You can screw a piece of 2x6 underneath length ways to make it firmer. I have a table from a 179 I'd sell but by the time you paid freight, it may not be worth it. Good luck and hope you enjoy the r-P0d.

I have a table from our 179 that did not work out for us.  I replaced it with a table I made.  I would be happy to sell it to you.
I'm in Chapel Hill. We can make a connection somehow.
