Not new to towing ( goose neck/ 5th wheel ) but new to bumper pull travel trailers. Just ordered a 180. The tow vehicle will be a 2019 F150, V8 tow package. I think I will be using the E2 wdh 6000/600. My question is what is preferable trunnion or round bar? I understand the clearance is better with the trunnion style but is it necessary with my set up? Thanks in advance

I have the E2 trunnion style and like it.  The sway control works well and the system is easy to hookup.  I am pulling a 179 with a Pathfinder so your set up with a F150 will give you more than enough capabilities.  The ground clearance is less with the round bar system and it depends on just where you plan on going (off road in BLMs).  But with the hitch being the limiting factor you are giving yourself a prewarning of ground clearance problems with the trailer like black and gray water tank lines and the stabilizing jacks.

Hope this helps and have fun with your 180.

We have the round bar version. It works well on our F150, but the extra inch or so of clearance would be nice when you're on rough terrain.
