The Rpod has two separate sets of cables.  The big one is attached to the screwed on looking "port" and the other ones have small circular ends. What are these for?  Are they also supposed to be screwed down on the port?Confused

Sounds to me like - you have the battery cabling for the Pod and the electrical hook ups for the solar port.  The cabling for Pod would be large wires and the smaller wires would be the solar port.

+1. If you don’t use solar you can leave the smaller wires disconnected. Better that way in case the wires were ever damaged you won’t short out the battery which could be dangerous.
