Hello Everyone!

I did my first black tank flush and noticed a possible problem.

After much research I chose this procedure. After completely draining the black tank. I closed the black tank valve and hooked up the flush hose, turned on the water supply and let it run until the monitor showed 1/3 full in the black tank. Next, I opened the flush valve. I let it run and drain for several minutes, shut off the water and waited for the tank to empty. When I went inside the camper, I noticed water in the floor and it looks like it may have come from the bathroom, but hard to tell for sure. I had water in the floor outside of the bathroom and water in the bathroom floor.

So do I have an issue? Maybe with the toilet seal? Or did I create the issue by allowing the black tank to fill to 1/3 full before opening the valve?

Please let me know, thanks!

I'm pretty sure you are NOT supposed to close the gate valve when you flush, I think it says it right on the sticker. You could also have a leak in the supply line. hard to say from here. Stay inside while someone else turns the water on, and see if you recreate the problem while your watching. Hopefully, it's not black water that your finding.

there have also been multiple notices about the black tank flush valve being installed backwards.  I don't know if this might have any impact with water on the bath floor, but worth looking further.

If the black flush was installed backwards, no water would have gone into the black tank, so I would say that is not part of the problem

I would check to see if there are any leaks while it is under pressure. It may be that an errant staple punctured one of the lines. It also may be that one of the connections is not tight. It may also be that the valve was installed in such a way that the vacuum breaker valve was not closing properly. Is this a new trailer? If so, contact your dealer. If it is an old trailer, you may need to replace the vacuum breaker/check valve. I had a similar problem and replaced the valve in our 179. It fixed the problem.

Thanks for all the replies! Like was suggested above, I looked into this further and found the issue. The flush hose enters the camper and goes up the interior wall to a black valve, and this is where the issue was. With water pressure I cold see one of the lines leaking, I tightened up the connection and the leak stopped.

Thankfully it was an easy fix. I appreciate all the help, we have two trips planned in the next three weeks, and not having to wait on the dealer was a big plus!

Thanks Again!

I had and still have a back flush valve installed backwards, when water pressure is supplied it goes no where.  Basically it does nothing, I don't have any leaks.  I bypassed my flush and added a backflush to drivers side.

I'm glad it was something simple and you did not need to replace anything. Good job!
