One suggestion - see if you can find someone nearby who is experienced with the rPod and aske them to show you how everything works, while at the same time testing it all. If you were closer,I'd be glad  to do so, but I'm in Colorado. Maybe put up a post here  giving your general location?

Paying a shop to have it looked over will ensure that everything works, but it wont help you if you have to troubleshoot  out on the road.

Brakes, including breakaway safety braking.
Tire age and condition.
Water pump
Water pump check valve (which keeps the pump from leaking backward filling the fresh water tank when connected to city water.
Shower, outside shower, sink.
Breaker and fuse panel
Battery charger
Gray and black tank discharge valves
Gray and black tank discharge line support straps (the OEM ones all fail sooner or later)
Black tank flush valve
Water heater has both AC and propane heaters, check both.
Water heater anode
Battery condition
Lights
Bathroom fan and fan cover
Leaks and water damage, especially around slide, under rear spoiler, and in areas with plumbing
Fridge is 3 way, check that all sources work

I’m sure there’s more but that’s off the top of my head. There is a lot of stuff to understand and maintain, so really is no way to avoid becoming knowledgeable yourself. Don’t despair, take your time, and do follow along with your pro and him show you where things are and how things work,

In December I purchased a 2017 r-pod 178. I am now preparing to take my first outing and I am having a professional check out the systems as I have I have no idea if they are functional or not. I am going to ask them to check the following and make any necessary repairs. While I have camped for many decades my previous trailer has been for dry camping only. Plumbing, water and waste tanks, water heaters, furnace and a furnace are all new to me. Please let me know what I am overlooking.

Wheel bearings
Slide
Furnace
AC
Stove
Fridge
Water tanks and plumbing
Water heater
Toilet
