If you decide to venture further north up the coast or inland I can make some suggestions of places to go and things t do (I'm from Bath). I hope you love Maine

Thanks, that's great info.  Supposedly, at high tide, we can put in our kayaks from the campground property and paddle down the creek to that spot you have marked.

No experience with the campground, but we used to vacation at the Maritime Cottages there at Goose Rocks Beach in the late 60s/early 70s.  Great beach.  One of our favorite things to do was to walk to the SW end of the beach (highlighted in yellow) and swim out into the tidal channel as the tide was ebbing.  The water that was heading seaward had been basking in the sun landward and was delightfully warm.  You'll find that the "regular" ocean water in Maine in June may still be a tad chilly, and so that trick may be just what the doctor ordered.

Planning on taking our longest trip yet in our new (to us) 2020 171 in late June.

Will be traveling up to ME from NC, staying at the Sandy Pines Campground near Kennebunkport.

Just wondering if anyone has camped at Sandy Pines, and, if so, any recommendations?

We plan to pack kayaks and bikes.

Looking forward to reading any input!
