I inadvertently hooked up my 179 to 240 volts today. My son was inside and heard a POP and when I went inside I smelled burned electrical.
Wonder where to start looking for the most likely damages first?  I cannot locate where that smell originated or that POP sounded.  Sleepy  Any help is appreciated 👍👍

I would start with checking all fuses in the power panel. the panel will also let you know the status of the 12v fuses . You MAY still have battery power for lights, water pump, fridge(on propane).
the WAFCO power converter website has checklists for testing the converter.  also check the forum section Podmods, maintenance and tips.  There is an instruction manual there that will have multiple posts about checking the electrical system.
Hopefully fuses are all that you blew.

Yes. I still have all the 12v fuses although I have not checked yet to see if I have a12v system working. My battery will be replaced tomorrow to find the answer to that.
I definitely toasted something. I’m wondering where to start looking.
I will take out the panel and have a look inside and try to find 110v somewhere for starters. And then try to check the converter.
Thank you.
I’m open to more opinions on what might be the first thing to blow on 240v!!

So the 12 volt system works. Lights, pop out etc. I have to troubleshoot the A\C in and find out what’s been blown up.?

Quite likely the charger is what's cooked. Shut off all the breakers, connect to 120vac, turn on the main, and then turn on one at a time to see what works and doesn't.

+1  Was thinking the same thing, plug orientation is different for 240 than it is for 120.

I've heard of campgrounds or inexperienced electricians hooking up TT30 sockets to 240V because the sockets look so similar to 240V.

Easy to do if you use the wrong cable and connect white to hot instead of neutral. One reason the Code does not allow white to be used of anything but neutral.

THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED. Plug looked similar to 240 and I somehow wired it that way.
