Does anyone have any tips, tricks, or suggestions for using Black Water Tank/Toilet in freezing weather.  Fresh water and Grey water will NOT be used and will stay winterized unless needed for toilet per any suggestions. Will be in freezing weather 3-4 days skiing then descend back to 50 degree weather for dumping tank and storage.  I looked into heating pads for all tanks and pipes however, the common feedback is that it takes a tremdous amount of modification for questionable results.  I have other alternatives for managing fresh and grey water but it would be nice to have a usable toilet.

I would think that if you buy a few gallons of pink stuff, and use that as your "flush" water, it would be ok?

Maybe. You might also end up with frozen turds floating in pink stuff.

We did that when we made a winter trip. It does not take too much pink stuff to flush. Consider using available facilities as much as possible, saving the pink stuff flushing for those times when there is no alternative.

We've used these in emergencies:

Not too bad really.

Thanks. I did not know about these. I will have to order some to keep on hand if we need to make another winter trip.
