I have a new to me 2020 180 that is beeping at earsplitting volume.  I changed the battery in the smoke alarm but it is coming from the alarm on the floor.  I am thinking a carbon monoxide/propane detector.  I cannot see how to open it to change a battery.  Does anyone know?

Typically, the propane detector is wired to your main RPod battery. What is your battery level?

The CO/propane detector is always, as far as I know, hard wired to the pod battery.  You could have a low battery, but most likely the detector has reached its end of life.  Time to get a new one.  Unscrew the existing one from the wall, cut, or unscrew, the wires, paying attention to polarity, and mount the new one.

If you have the kind thet bumps out from the wall, you might consider a flush mount model like this one: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00F6EWHEM?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details . You will have to cut a hole to fit.

Mine just started beeping, almost 60 months to the day of when I installed it!

I think that the Safe T Alert life span is 5 years and if it has not been damaged the company will replace at no charge if you send it to them.  You do need a return authorization to ship it back.  Their phone number is 800-383-0269 or email www.safetalert.com.  Hope this helps.

+1 to what Pod People and Tars said.  Presumably, you checked for gas leaks and confirmed that there isn't a small, leak that you can't smell.  LP is heavy and will find low points to accumulate.

Some times they start sounding due to other odors that they pick up.   Ours did that last summer, probably something awful I cooked Cry.  I was able to reset it by unplugging the 12vac fuse that was in the circuit for the detector (they should be labeled, but sometimes you have to check by trial and error).  I left the detector de-powered for a few minutes, then plugged the fuse back in.  It started working normally again and has been fine through our last camping trip 2 weeks ago.  Ours will be 5 years old next year and I'll replace it before the next camping season.
