Does anyone have success with a product that cleans the mildew off of the underside of the awning? I am in Florida and we have a lot of rain and humidity.  I do extend the awning after a rain to let it dry out  but I still get  mildew on the underside.

I washed our awning with mild detergent (dish liquid) and got the worst off.  Rain gets in it when it sits unprotected and rolled up, so I got a piece of white 4" drain pipe (smooth on the inside and outside, but corrugated in the middle) from big box hardware and cut a space out of it to fit it over the awning when it's rolled up.  It will tend to roll away from the very top, leaving a bit exposed, so I made a little bracket that I put on the bottom side to hold it in the fully up position so no awning is exposed where it connects to the trailer.  I paid about $10 for the pipe, if I recall correctly, but you can buy one for $105 from Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/Awning-Pro-Tech-White-Main-Patio/dp/B00T36C9GU/ref=asc_df_B00T36C9GU/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312087868266&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=2815943854570835766&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9003304&hvtargid=pla-568069469489&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=58868507981&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=312087868266&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=2815943854570835766&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9003304&hvtargid=pla-568069469489)  It keeps it pretty dry through the summer rains.  In the winter I cover the whole trailer with a big, heavy, real canvas tarp.  The flimsy plastic ones don't hold up.
