Hello,  ia ma looking for ideas for a 2013 R Pod 182 G (the garage kitchen edition ) Hood river edition.   We want to put a retractable awning that will stay mounted on the camper.  Any suggestions or pictures are greatly appreciated.
Thank you!!
Scott

The older RPods were not constructed to allow for mounting a retractable awning. The R-Dome or slide-in awning are your best bets. Since the warranty is long ago expired, you won't have to worry about voiding the warranty if you decide to put one on anyway.

agree with Stephen.
We have a 179 which has the rail at the roof/side junction. this is the rail that the Rdome slides into.  We have and use the Rdome, but sometimes wanted something easier and smaller. so we made our own awning.
we purchased a heavy duty vinyl tarp of the size we wanted(10x14), ordered some 13mm keder tape online and sewed it to one edge of the tarp. We bought 3 collapsible/adjustable poles and have a great awning for the trailer.
here is the keder tape sewed to the tarp

It has served us well for over 5 years
hope this helps.

Do you have that post saved, so you can repost it easily?  Thumbs Up
I took inspiration from it the first time I read it!
