Hi. The top and bottom long rubber trim piece on the back of the slide broke off; the top one looked like it had some sort of secondary piece?? Any answers about what they are, if they are important, and how/what to replace would be greatly appreciated! in the photo, the green "good" is the left and right sides, where the trim still is, and the red "bad" top and bottom is where you can see the screw heads and the trim came off

Ive had to replace these before, its pretty simple to do it. The vinyl cracks and dries out when exposed to uv. See the link below, a 100 ft roll will give you plenty to spare for future replacement. Just remove the corner trim pieces and you'll see how the stuff slides in.

I purchased mine off eBay, better price and free shipping.  It is called 1" heavy duty insert trim and comes in black or white.  It is produced by rvdesigner and comes in a 100' roll.  Insert the trim when warm and do not stretch the product when installing, otherwise you will be disappointed to see the trim 1"too short on the corners.
