I think that we can all agree that the monitoring system for the Grey tank, Black tank and Fresh-Water tanks are very inaccurate in terms of letting you know how the level of water in the tank. For example, I drained my grey tank one afternoon and by the evening it was showing 2/3 full. I drained it again and very little came out. BTW, I have flushed all of the tanks at the start of each season.
I have seen various monitoring systems on the market and was wondering if anyone had made a change and how difficult was the installation? Also, what system did you purchase and were you able to integrate the replacement into the current panel? Since my RPod (2021, R-196) has a covering on bottom, how difficult is it to partially remove this coving, it seems to have many attachment screws, some are different sizes. Any suggestions will be most appreciated. Regards, John |

The only ones that could potentially integrate with the current panel would be inside the tank sensors. Some of those are built to try to shield the sensor probe from materials collecting on them. Horst Miracle Probes are one such replacement probe.
The SeeLevel system would require a different display panel. The 709-HP3W on the Garnet site looks to have the most similar functionality except for the propane which would not apply to the RPod. Anyway, the choice of whether to tackle this job is up to you.

We have the SeeLevel system on our Escape and it is fantastic. At roughly $500 for the sensors and monitor, it ain't cheap and then there is the installation. Reading the reviews on etrailer, you may want to first scope out how the tanks are positioned in your 196 before you purchase.
