So we are on our summer trip and encountered a day with nothing planned. We decided to visit some RV dealers to see what was available if we decide to upgrade. The first dealer showed us a R-POD 202 which I noticed has "beast mode" suspension. I noticed they offer this on the 196 as well as the 202. This appears to be a solution to some of the bent axle issues.
Enjoy Life!!

I hope a stronger frame goes along with the "Beast Mode" suspension. Otherwise, what will happen is that there will be reports of bent frames instead of bent axles. I can tell you that a bent frame is no fun.

Really all they need to do is make the frame wider. This would solve both the bent axle as well as the sagging floor problems.

If they made the frame wider, they would need to install more cross-braces to support the floor. Otherwise, the floor in the middle would sag easier than it does already.

What exactly is "beast mode suspension"? I looked at the Forest River and RPod sites and did not see any mention.
Thanks

The Curt Beast Mode Suspension is an axle-less design allowing for complete independent movement of single or tandem axle wheels. The nitrogen-filled shocks, along with the racing-inspired coil springs, "deliver a towing experience like nothing else currently in today’s market," claims Curt company advertisers.

Sure. That would be assumed. The sagging floor issue I'm talking about is the outside walls pushing down on the outside. There are lightweight ways to support the floor in the center without going crazy.

That would require some serious beefing up to the frame where it attaches.

Not only the frame but the entire coach and everything in it. If FR puts that on an Rpod, it is signalling this trailer can go anywhere and that's exactly what folks who buy them will try to do.
