We do car titles in our office.  I know every state is different, but if you really want it, there should be a way.  We bought an old camper in Missouri for our kids to use and it did not have a title.  We got them to come down in price $100 because that is what the Bonded Title cost that we had to buy.

this camper did have a title up to two years ago when the seller took the vin plate off the camper and put it on another camper to sell.  State of Pa will issue a new title for the camper but will not issue it as a 1965 but as a 2011 camper.  Also it would be considered a home built unit and requires all kinds of paper work and inspections to get them to issue it.  I did it for another camper I was working on restoring and found when I went to get rid of it I lost money on it as the people paying good dollars want the real title.

Yes the shasta's did have wings on some of the model.

This one is a good unit to resore as the people did do some work on it but made it modern.  I would gut and strip to restore back to the 60s.

The vintage trailer topic got me thinking about a vintage movie involving a trailer. Anyone else care to admit they remember Luci & Desi in the Long, Long Trailer? I was just a kid when I saw it in the 50's but I loved it. Maybe it influenced my life long love for camping?

I bought the dvd for that movie and watched it again recently.   I will be taking it to the eastern roundup in KY if anyone wants to borrow it.    I love it.
We went to an RV show today  in Maryland and loved looking at all the trailers.

I think the one with the wings was made in PA right along I-79.  But for the life of me I can't think of the name!

A few years ago Coachman tried resurrecting the Shasta with an Airflyte model that was 17 feet long. I was really interested in the vintage look but when we went to look at it was very disappointed. Aside from being way overpriced ($20,000), it shared the only bed with the dining table. Here's a link to the website -->> http://squob.com/travel_trailers/new-shasta-our-friends-electric/

If you liked the look, you could always pick some up on ebay and do something like this.

Toddspod - I like it!  It gives the Pod a certain "bling". LOL

Doghouse - I share your evaluation on the "new" Shastas.  I did not see one in person, but price vs. what you get....I passed them by also.
