Be sure to turn OFF your overdrive when towing.  If you don't it shifts up and down to much.  In and out of OD that is.  That is really hard on the tranny and can lead to overheating.

The day finally came. Drove from LI up to Conn to pick up or R-Pod 177 today. The guys  at Hemlock Hills RV were great. Installed a weight distribution hitch with an anti-sway bar. They patiently went through all the systems and we finally were on our way. It took awhile to adjust the brake controller and get used to feel the trailer brake. Even though it was pretty windy the  sway control bar worked like a dream. My 2008 Jeep Cherokee  3.7L V6 handled it pretty good, as long as I kept in in 4th gear. Going up hill the RPMs peaked at about 3000. However, it did slow down noticeably going up hill.Cruising at 60-65 the RPMs were at about 2000.

No problems getting through rt 95 and the Bronx at rush hour, up and over the bridge to Long Island and home. MPG, too soon to tell, I guess 14-15  vs 19-21 without the Pod.
Safe and at home
