that is some kind of nice, I put one together and it does not look half as nice as yours. My brother clocked it at 38MPH with an iphone and he weighs in at 270lbs. I roughly estimated mine to get 70-80 mpg. When mine gets goin its pretty scary, bicycles just ain't made to go that fast, it feels like it is falling apart. And I saw your seat and am jealous....... It is very much needed for the ride.  I also took the baffle out of the muffler...... louder but faster, I started with just drilling holes in the baffle, then removed it completly. wanted to put a pic of mine.....but cannot.....
I really like your dual  chain tensioner setup.... really, I like your whole bike... nice job
I can't even begin to describe it.... you would just have to see for yourself....

It looks like you did a good job on it.  How does the little one like it?  Do you go on http://www.motorbicycling.com ?  I'm Fulltimer on there.

Thanks, the pic is after much use.... not sure how an orange got in the spokes! hahaha. I have poked around on the forum you mention, but am no member. When I put the bike together I was more concerned with function rather than form, The bike is a Miller High Life sponsored bike that I won from a bar, and the engine is just a cheap one from ebay.

I'm pretty sure my daughter likes the bike more than me...... she never wants to get off, but now she is getting a little big for the seat in the pic, I need to upgrade. We do enjoy the cruise.

I can't even begin to describe it.... you would just have to see for yourself....

Cool wheels! Hubby and I have a tandem and a couple of recumbents we like to ride but why in the world are we doing all that peddling?

I have 2 big reasons for having the bike:

1.  Gas Mileage
2.  I can't bend my knees far enough to pedal a bike anymore.

I always enjoyed riding a bike in the past.  That was before Vietnam fixed it so I can't!LOL

profmagickb:  too bad you don't live closer.  If everything works out right there are a bunch of us going on a 99 mile ride this summer.  We will leave Saint Augustine heading south.  Then we will be driven back to Saint Augustine.  It will take 2 days because of the speed and stopping to look at things, pictures and I'm sure answering a lot of questions.

Ok now you have done it!!!!!!!!!

Give me a site to go out and look at and the next thing I know I'm researching PA Motor Laws to see if I could ride one around up here.  Sure has to be safer than the Bar Stool I had. (Got rid of it before we got hurt on it or we got ticketed)  I think I will be building one.  Looking for a nice Beach Cruiser on Craigslist.

A steel framed bike is best.  The China made bikes at Wal-Mart tend to break at the welds.
