Thanks for the compliment.

To make it easier on yourself, make this a DIY project by the PHP'ers.  Open up a "SECTION" of the forum with the permission of the forum owners' and then classify topically just like a classified ads section of a newspaper does.

Create on the forum permanent topics, a catchy title to encourage participation of problems, solutions, products, etc.....related to the mantenance of PODS.

I don't have a catchy title in mind other than WIY.  Write it yourself, or something like that.

As an aside, we own a Kubota tractor and there is a website called ORANGE TRACTOR TALK.  It combines what you have described albeit not in a "book" form but also, there are technicians that have short movies on this site with maintenance "how to's" in a form similar to YOU TUBE.  The site has been very helpful to all of us that own Kubota tractors.  Maybe some techs at Forest River would agree to participate.  Kubota itself participates in the site I mention.

The site owner on Orange Tractor Talk also provides even a tutorial on how to submit pictures and so those not too familiar with internet technology are encouraged that way as well.

Your idea is superb.

BTW, I was able to clean under the A/C unit perfectly yesterday using a long paint stick and wrapepd with a paper towel, sprayed down with water.  Got all the yuck out of there easily.

Burt

Your idea is superb.

I really need to get back to adding to this.  If anyone else can pitch in and complete some of the unfinished sections, please do.  Burt, thanks for the info, I'll add that.

What a super idea!

Add to this maybe:  CLEANING UNDER THE ROOF A/C.

I found that a long, sturdy paint stick with a wet towel or rag soaked with a mild cleanser did the job.  The rest of the exterior cleaning is easy.

Sorry about the post right before this (which is now hidden).  I hate spam on the internet and would rather have it in a frying pan!

Installed the axle risers last weekend, there is some small room for movement around the installation holes but as long as the POD is sitting level and you keep the risers evenly pushed back against the frame flange as you bolt in the bottom bolts first there should not be a problem with axle alignment.

I am sorry I don't have the greatest memory, but I believe it may have been with wheels removed I measured to one of the studs on the hub, turning the hub to get the shortest distance from hitch coupling. I used a metal tape measuring to the same point at the coupling. There was definetly play in the axle. Did you find the post on the rpodnation site. I remember reading on someones post there describing how they measured the alignment of the axle when installing the risers. Perhaps they have mailed different brackets out with different size holes. If your axle has no movement with the risers lose, not tightened then all brackets are not manufactured  identical.    David

Hmmm, I don't remember any play.  With 2 different axles on the pods it is almost certain there are 2 different risers.  Maybe one has room for adjustment and one doesn't.
