Hugo et Damour,
C'est vrai.  Vous ĂȘtes les seuls deux.
Pardon my French . . . I only took French in high school and that was 40 years ago!  So don't expect more than what I just wrote.  (And I had to have the online Babel Fish translator help me with that much . . . LOL).

Most likely they were set that way at the factory.  Looks good behind your Cruiser!

Nice looking rig! I hope that your first time out was a good one in spite of the weather.
That is the correct configuration for the valves in the photo. Hard to say who did the dirty deed, just goes to show, "if you wnt it done right, do it yourself."

The water heater in the 171 is under the rear bed, to your right as you face the rear of the 'pod.  There is a cover which will require you to remove several screws (you can leave them out for future access).  It can be a pain getting to that cover - you have to lift the mattress up quite a bit.  Once you are inside that cabinet you'll see the water heater to the rear, look for the valves Podsible mentioned.  100% chance that is your problem, others have had the same problem.
