Another weekend and a short trip.  As many of you know Nuestro Pod likes to get away about every other week.  This week we decided on Wed that we would head out, since we have commitments for the next 2 weekends.  The park/campgrounds is only 45 min so it's easy to leave after work and enjoy the Pod for the rest of the weekend.  Fri after we arrived set up and had a bit to eat we just sat back and watched the birds & fishermen on the river.  The weather really cooperated the humidity had gone down a little and it was really great to sit in the R-Dome, kick back in our lounge chairs and relax.  I had my iPod hooked into the entertainment center so we could have some music.  It doesn't get much better than that.  Finally, dragged ourselves out of our chairs and into bed.  Sat & Sun were good too. Unfortunately, the photo opportunities were minimal so I just took pic of Pod on the site and view out the back window.

It's nice to have the truck.  The grill folds down and I just roll it into the bed of the truck.

Happy Podding

That looks like a lovely campsite right beside the water. We really like our dome too.

We are going "camping " for work at an antique show next weekend so our campsite will be a parking lot. It will be nice to be right on site though when we are finished work.

If there is a downside to this park, it is that it's a great fishing area.  This weekend the two fishing docks were crammed with fishermen and the boat trailer parking overflowed to the sides of the road which we have not seen previously.  But all in all the camping area was quite and peaceful.

According to the local, this is one of the best areas on the coast to fish.  I do some fishing, but don't really care what I catch.  I headed there again this weekend and plan to do some fishing although I don't think it will be very good since we just got a whole lot of rain in the watershed for the Arroyo Colorado.

Happy Podding

Looks like a nice park! Interesting idea with the concrete pad only for the table.
