Has anyone been to the Diamond Mine State Park in Arkansas?
If so, would love to hear about it, your pointers, the campground.
Thanks

Crater of Diamonds near Murfreesboro?

That place is really cool, but I think I enjoyed the drive and surrounding towns better.  We only stopped in once. the Rv park was not yet open, but we did go eat on the picnic tables in the campground, and everything seemed really nice.  I did not yet own a camper so I can't be too informative in that regard. I will definately go again, however.

We did drive around the park, the grounds were very wooded and pleasantly relaxing. There is a neat little water park too.

you can bring your own equipment or rent it, there are lots of very "professional" people out there that do it everyday. The Mining area is a big plowed up field and has lots of rocks all over, There is a staff that will ID your rocks.

I would suggest wearing shoes (not flip flops), my daughter loved digging in the dirt though.
Have Fun, It is a very cool place, and you might find a diamond!
I can't even begin to describe it.... you would just have to see for yourself....

I've never gone down, although it is on my list. I know several folks who go regularly, and have found nice small diamonds. Occasionally we hear about some really large ones showing up. Everyone has said it is fun, and plan to get a bit dirty.
