As long as you turn on the propane burner using the switch that's inside the 'pod, yes. Both systems will run at the same time if both are on (and you have an electric connection).

I have an Oxygenics Spa showerhead (for low pressure water hookups) - the one that was recommended in one of the other forum discussions. I have NEVER run out of hot water when showering and shampooing my hair.
I initially heat the water with propane (inside switch), leave that on and when the water is hot, then I also switch on the electric (outside switch.) I leave both the propane and electric on and very rarely does the propane fire back up.
That showerhead was the BEST mod I have done!

If someone can give me this info it'll be appreciate ....
Can you calculate the time of hot water you use ?
I really think that my bigger problem is to wash my hair in the R-Pod shower.
We I use the camping public shower , 8 minutes if very enough for me.
So I guess that I have really less than that in my R-Pod .
I hope you can understand this message lol
(strange english I know lol)

Damour, I think you just need to change the showerhead. Get one made for low pressure (uses less water, but you still get a full spray.) The Oxygenics showerhead has a rotating knob on the hose that will let you turn the water off while you soap up so you won't run out of hot water before you have rinsed off.

I am certainly no expert on such matters but..........
back in the days when I used to need more than one lawn chair (if you know what I mean) she used to wash her hair in the kitchen sink - a little water in the sink to shampoo and then rinse under the faucet - with slow water flow. But, I wish I had HodgePodge's showerhead!

Damour,
There are other brands you can buy, but this is the low pressure showerhead I got for my RPod, and I love it. Several other members recommended this brand - the Oxygenics Spa showerhead. I'm glad I took their advice.

I bought the Oxygenics Spa showerhead and swear by it. Yes, it does use less water and I've never run out of hot water while cranking the water flow down to minimum while still having the full power of water coverage. I love how it covers most of my body and when I rinse off, I just dismount the head and wave the wand from my waist down to cover my lower half. Unfortunately, I don't have one of those good looking woman in the Amazon picture while taking a shower, but never-the-less, the shower head does a great job.

I ordered my shower head today
Now that I'm used to shower in the Pod , I'm not short of hot water ...
But I have not enough pressure to rinse my hair obviously .
I hope it'll solve my problem

I just ordered an Oxygenics Spa shower head but it didn't mention a shutoff. Is there a built in shutoff like the shower head that came in the 177? Or was I supposed to order a shutoff in addition?
