Table release question

   We have the newer style (drop down) dinette table in a 2012 RP-177. Last weekend the release mechanism unscrewed and fell out. No big deal but no matter how I reassemble it, it doesn't seem to be right. Can someone tell me the sequence of reassembling this bolt, spring and knob (nut)? I don't know if the problem is that I'm inserting the horizontal bolt, which resembles a door latch, correctly. I'm feeling pretty dumb right now so somebody please straighten me out. This can't be that tough.
