Do you think there isn't the right amount being used when you flush? Or are you concerned about leaving water in the bowl? If the first, in the 171 the mechanism is in a box under the bed next to the shower/toilet wall. You can open it and see if there is a kink in the water line. I haven't opened it myself, so I don't if there is a valve in there that may not be completely opened. Be worth a check.
I think one wants to keep a small layer of water in the toilet at all times. Several things it does: it keeps the gasket seal wet and flexible, it acts as an additional protection if there happens to be a leaky gasket, it prevents splashing of urine against the solid surface, and it covers the other stuff to keep the smell down act acts to keep the surface wet so solid material doesn't stick. So I always give the lever a halfway pull for a couple of seconds to provide the water layer.

Clean water? Could be a loose connection to the flush valve. Dirty water, bad connection to the waste line. Probably need an RV plumber....

If water is sitting on top of your toilet flush gate and continues to increase in water level on top of the gate, be careful, could mean you have a leaking fresh water inlet valve to the toilet, this happened to me on a previous RV, lucky for me I saw it in time and was able to flush before it overflowed into the RV floor inside.  Just make sure your flush handle has returned all of the way to the off position.  Good Luck!!!
P.S.  I always turn off the water supply to the Pod when I leave it for any extended period of time, just a safety issue for me.

Hugo, the position of the shower curtain is personal choice. As a big person, I keep it behind the toilet, so water will get around the base. Otherwise the curtain has a desire to stick to you.
