...we have decided to stay in Alberta. There are so many places to revisit and new ones to explore, so that instead of driving all over Canada we will stay around here this season. So far we have spent a week in Banff N.P., a week in Waterton Lakes NP. and a week in Brazeau Dam, West Canal area. In August we will go back to Waterton for a week and in September we have reservations in Jasper N.P. We'll have to winterize the trailer early because end of September I have to go for eyelid surgery and will be pretty much useless for a couple of weeks.

For anyone interested here are a few links to some pictures that we took so far this year:

You have some great pictures!  You and I share some same feelings.  People travel to Europe etc and they haven't even seen their own country.  My wife and I lived full time in a motor home for 6 years.  We sold our house in Pennsylvania and hit the road.  We traveled mostly on 2 lane state highways and saw a lot of the USA and Canada.  But we didn't even scratch the surface of what there is to see!  We even made a couple of trips into Mexico (wouldn't advise doing that now).

We vacationed in the Banff / Cranmore area a few summers ago, that area is GORGEOUS!

We would love to go there again.

Banff looks like my kind of place.  It is beautiful!  I need to put it on my bucket list.

I wish I had just a fraction of your photographic skill!

Photog - you are so-o-o-o-o talented!  Especially loved the ground squirrel photos.

Terry, thank you. Last year we towed the Pod just about 20 000 km, first to the Yukon and on the second trip from Alberta to P.E.I. and back. While it was an enjoyable trip it was also too busy to see all the things that one wanted to see and that is one of the reasons that we decided to stay closer to home this year. The other reason was that the finance minister said NO to any long trips this year. Thumbs Down Big smile

Take care,

I agree and you should. We are lucky, Banff is less than 2 hours from us.

David, it is a most gorgeous area and you should come and see it, if you do bring enough time, Banff, Lake Louise, Ice fields Parkway and Jasper, at least 2weeks and if you are into hiking just a little bit you'll need more. BTW, thanks for the compliments.
