Unfortunately, no.  Used to do some releases on Saturdays from home, but ironically due to the budget cuts they won't allow that right now.  So I get to spend an hour's worth of gas driving to/from work when I could have done the same thing from my couch for less of my money.

or retired and had a tape measure and a 177.. 42" exactly in the 177 according to my tape..

(Of course I don't know if any of our 171 owners work from home.. But if they do..)LOL

The current specs online say they are the same size, and when I looked at a 177 recently it looked like the same size.  Its the same body and except for the flipped kitchen as furpod mentioned, otherwise identical so I don't see how the dinnette could be different in different models, unless they shortened it on the 177 to allow more room to get around the fridge.

You are right.  Thank you for pointing that out.  I went back to the manual, and discovered that the 171's dining table is larger than in the 177.  I think we need to go back and take a longer look at the 171.  We have been putting more effort into looking at the used models (a 172 and 177), that we've overlooked the one that may be the best for us.

Thanks,
Shawn

Umm... just a note.. both 177 and 171 have a dinette that is 42x74. The floor plan is exactly the same on those two, except for the fridge placement, one is on the right hand side of the kitchen, the other on the left. The only functional difference is the slide.. worth every penny in our opinion. OH, and on one you face forward when "reading" and in the other you face the rear.. lol

EDIT: occurred to me to look at the brochure..

Looking at the brochure that was in our pod when we bought it... I see it says there is a larger dinette... We didn't notice a difference when looking at  them on the lot.. but, have to admit, it wasn't/isn't a concern to us. The dogs never complain about their sleeping areas..lol Children may be different. LOL I can see where they could make it a bit wider, since they don't have the slide seal and stuff to deal with.

We have a 177 and our grandsons, 4 & 7, share the dinette. If you have an infant that could be a different story.

I see no reason the 177 couldn't sleep two youngsters. I have shared the dinette bed with a 100lb dog.. two kids should fit fine.

Near us there are two used Pods.  A 2010 172, and a '11 177.   We like the 172 for it's price.  The 177 has a slide-out and a full size bed, but it's 3K more at their asking price.  It comes down to who has to sleep on the table.  Me and my wife, or our 6yr old daughter.  The downside to the 177, is it only sleeps three.  It would be nice to have the extra sleeping room for a second kid.  That is why I inquired about the possibility of adding a temporary bunk.

Have you looked at the 176.  Even though there are only 2 of us we find the slide just give us that little bit more room.  We use the bunks for storage.  Enjoy the looking process.
