We reserved site 96 yesterday; it looks like there are only about 20 sites or so remaining. Looking forward to Poddin' in the Porkies Smile

Just  bought two Saturday passes to the Porcupine Mountains Music Festival. It's 3/4 mile from the campground and easy to get to by bike. Hope to see you there!

You guys know how to make one feel jealous!  Looking forward to when I can officially "retire" and do some serious podding throughout the summer months.  Being a golf course superintendent doesn't allow me that privilege although I will get to meet some of you at the Lake Huron gathering.  My wife and I look forward to that.  Otherwise we normally dry camp and and go if the off seasons like September and October.  Weather is a bit cooler BUT we never have to worry about getting a reservation or finding a campground "full" to capacity.

Time to get those reservations in! This is the weekend of the nearby music festival so don't wait too long. We just reserved site 49 for Thursday through Saturday night. Map here:

We can't reserve a block of sites, so all reservations have to be made on an individual basis, and no more than 6 months in advance. We're planning on trying for a spot along the lake side as soon as the reservation window opens up.

We're planning on staying a few days in the  Presque Isle primitive campground on the other end of the park before the actual roundup.

I'll put together a map as people start getting their reservations so we can see who's where.

We  are planning on coming to the festival and staying at union bay with the rest of the r-pods    Do you have sites picked out yet?  Our favorites are 36-63  (check union bay campground map).
Sounds like a good time, we will be watching the forum for more info.  UPWILDLOL
