Well, Tracy, you could go "marshmallow" on the front and back like we did. Smooth as a baby's butt.

I nearly did the marshmallow on the front and back, but left the R-pod name decal on both sides as neither were peeling.
Yay! This is post number 172 for my R-pod 172.

I got my Pod back from the dealer yesterday. The light kit looks real good!

Mine is going in on the 28th to have the recall done. They said it was a big job and they needed it for the day. Thanks again to Kristin for all your help.

You might want to check back with them and make sure they understand what they're doing. It's supposed to only be a 3-4 hour job.

They said mine was a snap to do. The wing goes all the way across and is held on with adhesive and 2 screws on each end. Just make sure they seal the screws real well. Very small "puny" red LED's used on the wing or spoiler.

I talked to Forest River yesterday 8/2/12 in Elkhart Indiana, they wanted the last 7 digits of my VIN, I told them I had a 2011 RP-172 but the build date was 4/2010 with the old style lights, he assured me that he was going to talk to his supervisor and get a letter to me about the recall, they were very helpful.

I thought perhaps if it would make any sense there could be a poll pertaining to the recall with the lights. Do you feel safer after having the additional lights put on your Rpod or do you feel no different just as safe with out them. David

Feel free to start a poll, you'll see a button next to the New Topic button which says New Poll. Might be interesting. Personally I know I'll feel safer. I have a vivid memory from last year - pitch black, long bridge under construction with one lane, very narrow because of the concrete construction barrier on one side and bridge wall on the other. I couldn't tell where my pod's wheels were and worried the whole way about clipping one wall or the other. If I had the marker lights I would have known where the wheels were.
