Unless the price has gone up considerably, I think that the Casita that we were looking to have made was going to cost about $14000, which was pretty loaded.

At the end of the day, we didn't want to wait 6 months to get it made, and there was something about my head rubbing up against the carpeted ceiling that got us to begin changing our mind.  The clincher though was when we were at the Chicago Boat and RV show in January when we saw ¡Podtástic! and fell in love with her.  We looked around some after we walked inside but came back to her and signed the papers.  It was afterwards when we were eating lunch at McCormick Place when it hit us that we just bought her.

At the end of the day you have to buy what is right for you.  No matter what, however, you have friends here.  Smile

Take care!

I will admit that there is something about seeing one, but at the end of the day we are happy with ¡Podtástic!

Welcome Travelite!  I, too, had gotten familiar with the Casita forums where we were torn between the Casita and the R-Pod.  People on the Casita forums are mighty friendly, and you will find the same here, too.

We saw a Casita the other weekend when we pulled into the Chicago Northwest KOA in Union.  We both recognized it the minute we were being escorted to our site.  I will admit that there is something about seeing one, but at the end of the day we are happy with ¡Podtástic!

Well... I doubt I have 100 posts on the whole internet (out of thousands..) that don't have an "edited" script in the bottom.. I can spell.. I can use spell check, and I almost always do by the third edit...Wink

It's pretty easy for my mind to out run my one typing finger too...

As far as "action" on the forum.. well, the Casita does have a 25 year head start... I think for the number of Pods out there, and the fact that Pods have only been out 3 years.. it's a pretty active forum.

You want to see an active TT forum? Go check out AirForums... Some fantastic info and people over there, and a lot of the info on electrical, plumbing, maintenance, camping skills, etc. is useful to any camper.

thanks, my big thing is My mind out runs my finger's and and half the time I don't go back and read it.... I'm on the forum inorder to get all the information, I can read all I can about the people that make this a good forum,  and there story..both good and bad......the once time I check in about just about all post was from 2010 or older, but it starting to look like more people are posting. after being on the casita forum this it a big change, there is something new all the time on casita...but as more and more people post, we become more as camping family, and we all know that there is no one better the camper's....so far the biggist thing I see is there are no monthly rallys, all it takes is a group to say I'm going to be here..you all come on here....after all we did buy a camper  to set in the backyard.......so where I do get my camper, I well be posting to have a together, alot, and hope anyone with a free weekend....come on down.....I'll be watching....and may God keep his hand over each one of you.Thumbs Up
