Just curious    ...what does Forest River or the owner's documentation have tomsay about correct jack placemenr ?

Officially they don't want you to jack on the frame, or the axle.  I agree the only choice is on the axle near the wheel.

Well   ...the reason I ask this question is that I went through the same issue with another model Teardrop trailer. As close as Imever came to an answer was that the "safest" place to lift/jack a trailer is on the axle tube AS CLOSE TO THE FRAME AS POSSIBLE.

The pod axle has several vertical 'flanges' extending downward a couple of inches near the hubs.  My dealer stated that their repair shop places the lift jack at the flanges.  They make sure that the jack pad or 'cup' catch both flanges.Thus there is no pressure placed on the actual cylinder of the axle.  The flanges are welded onto the axle and spread the lift over a larger area rather than a single point, if the jack were to push upward onto the cylinder itself. The lift point is also as far outboard as possible which is recommended.
