Is that a drain so water on the boat can escape? Double-check the welds on the rear hitch, there have been reports of bad welds cracking there.
Hodge, I used Molly bolts when I added shelves to mine. I put them in every 8 inches or so and they felt very secure. |

Marwayne,
In regard to attaching shelves and cabinets to the R-Pod walls, what did you use? Wall anchors? Mollybolts? I attached a folding clothes rod, and had the hardest time with the hollow wall. I made a mess to tell you the truth, but was able to "fix" it using some wall anchors that would bear more weight. I tried to get close to a 2x4 when I did it, but there wasn't one there. (Not to mention, that I'm no carpenter!)
I guess what I'm asking is how did you attach cabinet & shelf mods to hollow walls so they could bear some weight?
What you have done to your R-Pod is outstanding!
Diane

Wow! I'm so impressed--you've done a lot of the things that I would like to do only if I was able as you are.

The front box is made out of 1/2" birch plywood and boulted to the A frame, coverd with decking material. It holds propane bottle 2 batteries, small toolbox and rdome without poles. Back box is made out of 1/2" birch plywood, coverd with decking materiel. I exstanded the outer rails and the sparetire hitch, boulted box to the exst. Then I fitted a spacer between the trailer and the box and boulted them together. In the box are 2000 watt honda gen. inv. 81/2' inflateble boat, webber BB, 2 horse honda outboard motor, 5# propane bottle, 2-5 litre containers of gas and a few other little things. |

How about some info on the boxes front/rear. Did you weld to the frame? What are you storing there?
